 Intern In SPAIN
Cultural Embrace offers a tremendous opportunity to live and work in Spain. Immerse yourself in Spanish culture with our internship program. Our program is a combination of Spanish language courses and work experience with a company located in Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia or Salamanca.
The program is aimed at university students with the appropriate skills, graduate and post-graduate students, and professionals from all sectors. You will improve your Spanish skills in a professional environment and learn about daily Spanish social, business, and cultural life first-hand, with the added bonus of serving as an excellent resume-builder. Cultural Embrace partners with one of the most reputable language schools in Spain to include four-weeks of intensive Spanish and then organizes an internship placement based on your preferred field of study. We offer a wide variety of work experience placements. Examples listed below are a guide of where we have already made placements:
Food and Catering, Graphic Arts, Non-Profit Associations, Automotive Industry, Financial Services, Tourism, Law, Cinema and Entertainment, Sports, Distribution, Communication/Media, Publishing, Marketing, Business associations, Fashion, Hotels/Restaurants, Computers/IT, Real Estate, Laboratories, Shipping, Optometry, Auxiliary Medical Services, Media and News Agencies, Promotion and Sales, Insurance, Transportation and Logistic, Education, and much more…
Placement depends on the availability within a company and industry, your level of Spanish, your resume/CV, and past work experience. Also note that internships are harder to find in July and August since many companies close or have less pending work in the summer season. Regardless of the circumstances, our local partners and CE will do everything we can to find the right match for you, and to be a mutual fit for the company.
The minimum time needed for this program is 3 months (4 weeks intensive Spanish language classes + 8 weeks internship), but many participants choose to extend their experience. There is a mandatory 4-week Spanish language program (General Spanish program or business/legal Spanish) before the work placement. One of the most important requirements for the companies is that you must speak a high-intermediate or advanced level of Spanish by the time your placement begins. If you do not meet this proficiency level, we strongly recommend adding more Spanish training prior to your placement. A full or part time internship (based on your request) will begin directly after the language program is completed. Most interns are NOT paid, however a bonus could be negotiated at the discretion of the company.
