 Intern In GERMANY
Cultural Embrace offers you a chance to gain professional enrichment with the opportunity to explore Germany. Immerse yourself in the German culture with our internship + language training program. Our program is a combination of German language courses and work experience with placements located in Berlin.
The program is aimed at university students with the appropriate skills, graduate and post-graduate students, and professionals from all sectors. We will find a trainee position which is related to your professional background and field of interest. Cultural Embrace's local partners have a wide network of company contacts with a wide variety of fields. The following list are examples of industries in which we have already made placements: Food and Catering, Graphic Arts, Non-Profit Associations, Car industry, Financial Services, Tourism, Cinema and Entertainment, Law firm, Communication/Media, Consulting, Sports, Distribution, Publishing, Marketing, Business Associations, Hotels/Restaurants, Computing/IT, Real estate, Laboratories, Fashion, Shipping, Leisure, NGO's, Opticians, Auxiliary Medical Services, Media and News Agencies, Promotion and Sales, Insurance, Transportation and Logistics, and Educational Centers and Universities.
The minimum duration for this program is 10 weeks, and depending on specific nationalities, it is probable to extend your stay for up to 6 months. There is a mandatory 4-weeks German language program included (standard level) upon arrival, with upgrade potential for intensive and premium lessons. The companies require that the applicant speaks an upper-intermediate level of German by the time the placement begins.
If your German is at the beginner-elementary level, Cultural Embrace strongly recommends extending your German instruction up to 12 weeks. For those at an elementary-intermediate skill level, consider extending your German instruction up to 9 weeks in order to reach the appropriate level needed for the internship. Please be aware that many companies will ask for a personal interview, which will be an instrumental part of your career training and professional development during your first four weeks in Germany. We will be contacting employers upon program enrollment, but most positions will not be confirmed until the in-country interview is conducted. We will have alternate options for an internship assignment within your field by the time you finish your language lessons, and your job will begin directly after the language program is completed. Most interns are NOT paid. However, a bonus could be negotiated at the discretion of the company.
