Cultural Embrace's junior summer program offers residential Italian language courses combined with sport and creative leisure activities and excursions. This seaside resort near Venice, is a pleasant residential village called, Villaggio Adriatico, which hosts an unforgettable summer program for Italian and international teenagers. Our selected junior center in Lignano, Italy has an extesive pinewood park, a wide private beach, and numerous sport facilties such as swimming pool, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts.  It is the perfect setting to have outdoor classes and to organize sport and leisure activities.

Our Italian junior program is designed for ages 10-16 years to have a nice balance of Italian language courses with carefully surpevised sport, creative leisure activities, and excursions. Italian lessons involve speaking, listening, reading, and writing in lively and informal small classes. The local teachers are all highly qualified and are carefully selected for their experience in teaching young learners.

Designed for students to gain personal, cultural, communication, social and leadership skills, and to discover the Italian language and culture. We offer an 'all-inclusive' program with students divided between the same age-group and language skills level, that share similar interests. Guided leisure time activities are scheduled for every afternoon, evening, and weekend. Meals and housing will be included in safe, conveniently located on-campus. There are separate bathrooms for male and female students on each floor, and rooms will be shared in double and triple rooms. Special dietary diets and meals can be prepared on request.

Cultural Embrace Offers:

  45 minutes per lesson provided in to 4 lessons per day, six days per week (M-Sa). Language levels range from beginner to advanced level. A maximum of 12 students per group. Classes taught by native Italian teachers. A combination of grammar, written, and conversational methodologies taught.

18:30 - 19:30: Rest, homework, and private study

From 20:30:    Organized recreation, fun, and social events

Sport & Leisure Activities:
All activities are supervised and tailored to the interests of the respective aage groups. During the activities students will interact with Italians of the same age, residing in the village to stimulate Italian language practice and new friendships.

Sport Activites include: tennis, football, volleyball, beach volleyball, swimming, basketball, skating
Creative Leisure Activities: magazine writing & editing, Italian songs and crafts

Excursions:
Students will be escorted by experienced members of staff. Once a week there will be a full day excursion to: Venice, Verona, Gardaland, Trieste, Aquileia

*Cultural Embrace requires an expedited application fee for those applying 12 weeks or less before the desired date of departure. Applications received 8-12 weeks prior to desired departure date will be charged $150. Applications received less than 8 weeks before the desired departure date will be charged $250.
