    Day 1ManaguaAirport greeting and transfer to Hotel Europeo in Managua's quiet gallery district.
    Day 2Managua-Selva NegraTour of the nation's capital of Managua with visits to key political and cultural sites, including its historic center and to see the incredible footprints left by the Managua residents of 4,000 BC Transfer north along the eastern shores of Lake Managua into the heart of the coffee growing northern mountains Matagalpa Coffee tour of the great organic shade coffee farm of Selva Negra. Lodging in private cabin surrounded by cloud forest (BLD)
    Day 3Selva NegraWalk in the peaceful cloud forest reserve at Selva Negra. Lodging in private cabin. Optional activities: Horseback riding ~$5/hour (BLD)
    Day 4Selva Negra-LeonEnjoy the drive through the region of Sébaco to the cigar capital of Central America, Estelí. Transfer to León current location, founded in 1610. Afternoon walking city tour at Leon, the artistic and colonial capital, with visits to the world famous poet Rubén Darío's house, and Central America's grandest cathedral. Overnight at Hotel Los Balcones. (BL)
    Day 5Cerro Negro-LeonGet ready for an adventururous day to visit an active volcano, Cerro Negro. Hike about one hour to the crater’s edge. Transfer to the wave-swept Pacific Coast to enjoy the sun and sea. Overnight Leon. (B)
    Day 6Leon-Ometepe IslandHead south to the base of the smoking Momotombo Volcano and the archeological site of León Viejo, now declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take the ferry to the dual-volcano island of Ometepe. Dock greeting and transfer to the active cone of Concepción with visit to the ancient village of Altagracia in route to Santo Domingo Beach. Lodging at Hotel Villa Paraiso. (BLD)
    Day 7Ometepe IslandTransfer to the beautiful Maderas Volcano nature reserve and hike to a secluded 40 meter cascade. Return to Playa Santo Domingo in the afternoon to relax. Overnight at Ometepe. (BLD)
    Day 8Omtepe Island-San Juan del SurGet on the ferry back to the mainland. Dock greeting and transfer to the lovely half-moon bay on the Nicaragua Pacific, San Juan del Sur. Overnight San Juan del Sur. Night in Hotel Colonial. (B)
    Day 9 San Juan del SurFree day at leisure to enjoy the beach. Optional activites, such as: surfing, kayaking, mountain biking, and more. Overnight at San Juan del Sur. (B)
    Day 10San Juan del Sur-GranadaExplore Central America's oldest European settlement, Granada. Private boat tour of Lake Granada. Overnight at Patio del Malinche. (BL)
    Day 11Masaya-GranadaEnjoy the day at the ancient highland villages of "La Meseta", to visit the indigenous artisan's workshops of Catarina, San Juan de Oriente and Masatepe. Then transfer to the historic city of Masaya and enjoy shopping at their 19th century outdoor indigenous market. Afterwards, visit a hammock maker's shop and then transfer to the active cone of Santiago at the Masaya Volcano National Park to hike and observe the inside of this big smoking crater.     Day 12Granada-USAEarly flight transfer to airport for your return flight back to the States.
