TEACH in GUATEMALA Program

Introduction

Teach English in GuatemalaCultural Embrace is working together with language schools in Antigua to improve the education, combat illiteracy, and provide hope to these students. Our teachers will lead English classes to the local students. Student age ranges from six to fifty years old, with varied language skills. Most students will be coming from communities in and around Antigua.

Since only 30% of indigenous children in Guatemala receive a sixth grade education or higher, with every teacher and volun-teacher applicant, Cultural Embrace will grant a scholarship to an at-need student in neighboring villages to teach him/her English, improve his/her education, and boost his/her self-esteem.

We prefer teachers with teaching certification or classroom experience; however, because of our great reputation and service, many schools will accept the teachers that we recommend and approve, that show leadership, initiative, and dedication to their placement. Most paid placements are available for at least one semester or year commitment. Short and long term teaching opportunities are available. Our placements are based upon the needs of our partner schools in Antigua. Teach in Guatemala with Cultural Embrace and have an unforgettable experience while sharing a bit of yourself and your culture in welcoming and charming Antigua.
