Cultural Embrace offers you an incredble opportunity to gain practical work experience in Jaipur, India. Immerse yourself in the 'Pink City,' the former capital of the royalty, but now the capital of Rajasthan and a major business city in the global market. 

Our Austin staff will work alongside our ground suppliers in India to pre-arrange your internship placement. Our ground representatives in Jaipur have built great relationships with a wide variety of businesses and organizations. In addition to the practical work experience that will enhance your academic, professional, and personal endeavors, we include a lot of perks and benefits for you to maximize your time in India. Shared housing in modern accommodations are shared by interns, with all meals included.  Cultural activities and excursions are available throughout your internship duration. Some activities may require additional transportation and entrance fees, and our local representatives will let you know the details before each excursion.

Internships in India's duration is from 1-3 months, starting on the first Monday of any month. This program is available for any current part-time or full-time student, gapper, and recent graduates between 18-30 years old. Experience or education in the field of interest is helpful, but not required. Most interns are NOT paid, however, any bonus or stipend may be available at the discretion of the company. Program Requirements


In order to participate in this internship program, Cultural Embrace requires that you:

  • Be 18-30 years of age
  • Have experience or education in field of internship
  • Enjoy providing a service and working with others in a challenging environment 
  • Be open to foreign cultures and living abroad
  • Possess a high level of responsibility
  • Be dedicated to the full term of commitment 
  • Provide us with a criminal background check

How to Apply

 1. Obtain the Intern Abroad Application Forms & Procedures documents in one of three ways:

(a) Download the forms:  Intern Application (pdf).  Intern in India Program Details and FAQ (pdf) 

(b) Fill out an online application request form and the forms will be e-mailed to you within 2-3 days.

(c) Call Cultural Embrace at 1-512-469-9089 or Skype: Cultural.Embrace to have the forms mailed to you in 3-5 days.

2. Read the instructions carefully and complete all forms.

3. Submit your completed application packet to:

Completed packet should include:

  • Intern Program Application
  • Signed Work/Intern Agreement
  • Copy of your passport (information page only)
  • University/College transcript Copies of diploma or certificates related to field of interest (if applicable)
  • Resume/CV in Italian and English
  • Cover Letter in Italian and English explaining why you want to intern in Italy 
  • Two References: preferably professional and/or character references
  • Doctor’s note verifying that you are in excellent mental and physical health
  • Copy of Police Clearance (obtainable from your community's local police station) 
  • Two 1½" x 2" official passport-size photos, with your name printed on the back
  • One smiling full-length photo of yourself (for local coordinator to identify you)
  • US$250 non-refundable deposit (credited towards your program fee) 

Upon receipt of your application, a Cultural Embrace coordinator will contact you for a 20-30 minute phone interview. Once we accept you in to our program, you will receive an invoice for the remainder of your program fee. In order for us to contact our local partners to start your placement process, we require at least 50% of your program fee.  View tips for a smooth and successful placement.

We recommend submitting your application and program fee at least 16-20 weeks prior to your desired start date in order for us to organize and arrange your internship. 

*Cultural Embrace requires an expedited application fee for those applying 16 weeks or less before the desired date of departure. Applications received 12-16 weeks prior to desired departure date will be charged $150. Applications received fewer than 12 weeks before the desired departure date will be charged $250.
