Classroom experience and foreign language knowledge are helpful, but not required. Cultural Embrace includes a 20-unit online TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course with most teach programs. This course has been designed for maximum flexibility, allowing you to work on your own computer at your own pace. The course has two main components:  Teaching Skills and Language Awareness. The Teaching Skills component develops the techniques and skills required in the classroom, while the Language Awareness component provides a solid foundation in English grammar. Alternatively, you can take a 4-week certification program in an internationally recognized TEFL course.  These courses are located in China, Thailand, New Zealand, Egypt, France, Spain, Italy, and Costa Rica.  There is an extra fee for taking these courses and housing arrangements can be pre-arranged. 
 

Teach in LATIN AMERICA 
Paid placements available for semester or year commitment in Mexico, Honduras, and El Salvador. Short and long term volun-teaching offered in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador. Housing will be pre-arranged if it is not already included.

Teach in CHILE  Limited Space!
CE has been selected by Chile's Ministry of Education and United Nations Development Program to provide teacher assistants for English classes in two regions of Chile: Atacama & Coquimbo. 8-months (starting March, 2008), 6-months (starting June, 2008), 4-months (starting July, 2008)  available with monthly stipend, room & board, domestic transportation, on-line TEFL training, and more!

Teach in CHINA  
Short and long-term paid placements throughout China. Most one-year school placements include airfare reimbursement. Furnished housing included with teach placement.  Summer Special: 2008 Summer Teach & Travel. 

Teach in ENGLAND (Summer Camps)
Earn a local salary, make wonderful international friends, and lead groups of youth from around the world at summer camps in England. London, Salisbury, Eastbourne, Oxford, Guilford, Haywards Heath, Portsmouth and Kingston locations from mid-June to mid-August, 2008. Limited positions, filled based on first-come, first-serve.

Teach in SPAIN
Tutor/teach a local family your native language (English, French, Italian, German) near Barcelona, Spain for 15 hours/week (Monday - Friday), in exchange for room and full-board (7 days/week). High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum 1 month, maximum 3 months.

Teach in THAILAND
Voluntary and paid placements available throughout Thailand. One-way return airfare for 10-month teach placements. One-week, all-inclusive orientation upon arrival in Bangkok, with excursions to local sites.  Basic furnished housing will be provided by the host school.

TEACH & TRAVEL EXCHANGE 
Teach English and other foreign languages (~15-20 hours per week) to a local host family in exchange for room and board. Short-term unpaid placements in Brazil, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Spain for a wonderful chance to travel around these beautiful destinations too!
